2009 fashion trends from New York Fashion Week

The New York Fashion Week 2009 came up with many new and unique designs and styles of dressings. Many bright and pleasant colors were used to beautify the styles. The trends that were really the interests of viewers during The New York Fashion Week 2009 are; strong shoulders, slim silhouettes, seasonal confusion, lots of layers and unique prints. The main characteristic of all those trends was the use of plenty of pleasant colors.

The trend of strong shoulders came up with the idea of the shoulders of coats. The designers enhanced this style by placing pads underneath, pleats, tucks and bows. This made a strong impact on shoulder line. The colors mostly used for this style were grey, blue, black and brown. This style was shown mostly in shirts and tunics.

Slim silhouettes trend was looking perfect for the New York Fashion Week 2009. Slim silhouettes trend comprised of super skinny pants along with nicely printed tunics and pencil skirts. Slim trousers were topped with oversized layers which were enhanced by using beautiful belts.

Seasonal Confusion trend was also seen very keenly by viewers. Because this was the fusion of light weight fabric and hot, bright and pleasant colors perfect for summer season. Basically this style was introduced over single shoulder silhouettes and sleeveless sheath dresses.

Layered dresses were the example of their own during the New York Fashion Week 2009. The dresses with this style were unique. The sleeveless sheaths were wrapped with layered fabric along with skinny pants, leggings and scarves. The layer of fur over the shirts diverted the attention of the people towards it.

The unique prints with the combination of white and brown/black were the main focus of the viewers during the New York Fashion Week 2009. Those prints comprised of black florals over creamy base fabric. The dresses shown for these prints were tunics, shirts and frocks.
